This may have been answered before but I can't find it. I have a 98 Legacy GT Limited. Just bought it in Dec. and the Head Gasket went. Just finished replacing the HG and timing belt. Hooked battery back up and heard the alarm sound then quit. Now I have several indicater lights flashing and no power to starter at all. The rest of the electrical will come on, but when turning key only the fan comes on. I even hear clicking from the ABS system but no fire. What can I do? I have one clicker that the owner gave me but I have to replace that battery. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Allan

Find the button under the driver side dash. Mine is over by the fuse box. Turn on the key and push the button and it should disarm the system. That is assuming it is the optional Subaru system not an aftermarket system.

If I hold down the button the engine will turn over but the coil has no spark and the fuel pump is not on. Is there anyway for me to completely remove the security system w/o tearing the whole car apart?
