Here's the scoop, I have a 2001 Legacy GT Automatic. The stock engine has been swapped out for one from a 2006 WRX and is also now a 5 speed manual. I used the crossmember from a 2004 Turbo Baja, but with that crossmember I cannot use my stock control arms because the bushings are 60 mm whereas my stock control arms use 55 mm bushings. Other than shimming, I was wondering if anyone knew if the B4 RSK aluminum control arms are identical in width as the USDM 3rd gen Legacies. Also wondering if anyone knows if they also use 60 mm bushings or the 55 mm. My options are to buy the Legacy SS crossmember which will allow me to retain my stock control arms, or buy the B4 RSK aluminum control arms and hope they use the 60 mm bushings as found on my existing Turbo Baja crossmember. I am extremely picky about how my car looks an knowing me, my present setting of JDM WRX controls arms will cause a 10 mm wider stance therefore stick my wheels out of the fenders as well as adding some negative camber. I am certain it will bother me just because I know it's there.

Thanks

Press out the stock 55mm front bushings, get the proper 60mm bushing in poly form from whiteline or superpro, put it in whatever control arm you want. The bushing is around 50 bucks when I bought them.

Oh and I would use a proper press with an experienced operator if youre going to do this on the steel control arms. I bent one by accident trying to press the first front bushing out when I experimented with this.

and its 20mm wider track, no one ever notices it on my car, not even the -2 deg of negative camber. :smt002

Excellent info!!!! Thanks. Will look at swapping out the bushings as an option.
