I have a 97 leg GT with a messed up A-pillar and windshield. I have approx 1 grand to spend now, and in a few months ill have about 3 grand and cant decide on what to do....
Should i fix the a-pillar and new windshield and then rebuild my motor and turbocharge it....
Sell the body as is and keep my motor/tranny and get a 2door impreza shell....
Sell my car and buy a 2door 2.5RS and turbo charge it....
or, get a 2.2 impreza 2door and swap the engines and keep my leg as a rally/mess around with car and boost the 2door 2.5.....

If any of you know how much any of that would cost or have any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated, or if you have any other ideas that would be great too. also, if i end up getting a impreza shell which was an automatic, will i have to get a new wiring harness to suit my manual tranny

any and all info is greatly apprecialted, thanks guys!!

I would either part the entire car out to make money. Or sit on it for now, buy another Legacy that needs some TLC. Use yours as a donor part car and sell off the rest.

Frame damage is more than you want to deal with. Having spare parts is awesome :)

I'd start with a turbo platform, if turbo power is your goal. Putting turbos on NA motors usually does two things. Gives you a taste of the turbo, and makes you want more. Upping the boost, and destroying the motor.

Rebuild the motor with low comp pistons, up the boost, run out of cams/heads. 10-7K later, its as fast as a lightly modded WRX.
