really bad vibration at 60-75?????

on the way home from a friends house in my 1997 legacy L wagon where i had been doing a little bit (about 10-15 mins) of drifting on this really muddy/gravel road on his land. i go to get on the highway to go home and as i hit 60 i get a vibration and at 63ish it really picks up. at 68 its very slight and at 70 its pretty hard vibrations. the entire car seems to vibrate and not just the front.... any ideas???? :smt010

I would change my tires and brakes, if that doesnt work, then you have really big problems

if it's not just mud in the wheels causing an imbalance you have a bad cv joint.

Try washing the car, top to bottom and under it. Put it in the air and see if theres some crud stuck up somewhere or some rocks. You may have also thrown a wheel weight (although that's hardly ever a significant vibration). When it's in the air, pull the wheels off so you can really get in there and see that everything is clean and free of debris.
