...6 months, 1.5x my original budget, my wife threatening all sorts of physical pain... pretty average project car. :twi

Ok the important stuff. Built ej257 w/forged pistons. Everything brand new except for the headers, exhaust manifold, wiring harness, ecu, which came from a 02 WRX. TMIC and vf39 sourced used from nasioc. Stock STi exhaust (FAIL for stg. 2 tune btw...), 07 WRX transmission.

Haven't done a dyno tune, but the boost is maxed out. Probably puts down around 290 HP at the wheels.

I love the orginal OB logo. Hard to find as decals anymore.

Enkei EV5s in Dunlop SP Sport Signatures. 225/50/17 I had these tires on my WRX and loved them, so I had to get a new set for summer. The EV5s are not nearly as nice as my RPF1s, but I'll live. :D They wouldn't fit anyway.

Of course, KYB GR2s and Kings.

Oregon peeps know what's up.

Next up? Probably lots of interior stuff to kinda mimic the STi interior. Needs to be all custom, as none of the STi stuff will fit the Gen1 Leggy body. New turboback exhaust. BRAKES. For now, I'm pretty happy to be up and running. Tomorrow I'm taking it on some forest service roads for the first time. Time to get sideways!

Thanks to John at Outback Auto in Auburn, WA. Did the swap and put up with my pushy ass. Bring your subies there! Happy trails kids... Jefe

Badass! Welcome to SLi..... This is technically a gen 2 Legacy, and theres a couple people on here with STi interiors in their 2nd gens. Check out Gibbsons GT for example.

Outback sti is not something you hear everyday. Nice conversion and nice numbers. It feel good to stand out doesn't it?

LOL few do. Those guys are notorious for the flaming! However it helps to remember most of them are 19 year olds with poorly modded wrexs they are 2 days away from crashing... :smt018

Thanks for the props everyone! Good to be here, there are lots of sweet rides here that are already providing lots of inspiration. +10 million for the door card mod I found on here this morning, that's coming up shortly here. Alcantra fabric FTW!!!!!
