Missing/Stuttering Under Load

2005 2.5i wagon misses under load. Idles rough. Just had head gaskets/timing belt, as well as radiator and A/C condenser raplaced ($3,000.) Any suggestions? Doesn't throw a code.

I am going through the same thing with my 97. Maybe the timing belt is off a tooth? Did you have the dealer do it or a private shop?

How is the ignition and fuel delivery?

I'm by no means an expert, but the first thing I'd check is to see that the MAF is plugged in + snug. Then I'd be looking at the air filter, and MAF to see if we were all clean. I say that because I've had this issue before on my NA impreza, and that's what it's been - but more than that - those are really easy things to check. :)
