Hey guys. I've been trying to figure out what motor I'm going to swap into my 96 Leggy Wagon and have been looking into the EG33. The only thing is I know the H6 is heavier then my EJ22 SOHC.
So what I'm asking is if anyone knows the weight difference between these motors? Also, does anyone have any idea of how much understeer I may be gaining?
I want a decently sized motor that can get a 20G (or a Bastard if it's worth it) to spool quickly for pulling out of corners, But I just can't afford an STI swap.
Thanks for your input!

I believe it is about a 60-70 lb difference. I already removed my a/c so, I will have to see if the battery will need to be moved to the trunk.

60-70lbs, eh? Huh.....I wonder how that stacks up against an STI or WRX swap.....
But hey, I'm pulling the A/C as well. And the cruise control and radio and if I can convert to non-ABS. That should offset some of the weight.
Thanks for the information. Much appreciated.

yea its really not much. if you move your battery to the back that would make a big difference on evening things out.

also dont know how well "under steer" is measured... my guess would be negligible, but im also pretty sure everything could be taken care of with the correct suspension set up. its not like the legacy is some amazing handling beast out of the box anyway.
