Auto to Manual swap

My car is being converted to 5 speed at the same time as my engine swap. How does one address the issue of not being able to remove the ignition key unless the car is in Park but since it is now a 5 speed, there is no park. Do you simply swap out the ignition switch with one from a 5 speed Legacy? I figure the part that you put the key into is simply mechanical, putting in one from a 5 speed should effectively bypass the Park requirement when removing the key.

pretty sure you can short the 2 wires that when connected open it.
