What's up guys? Long time since I've been on. I just bought a new car, and figured I'd say an official SL-i farewell, although I still see a handful of you on Xbox live from time to time, so I'll keep seeing you there.
My last fond memory of the wagon was my very first autocross. It didn't do that great. I was outclassed because of my springs and rear sway bar, so I was 3rd out of 4 cars in my class and 23/30 for the novice indexed times. The big issue though? My front crank seal went from a small oil leak to a monstrous leak (1qt a week)

A week and a half ago I traded the car in with leak, what sounded like rod knock, and a binding center differential (but they didn't know about that) for $1k. Then drove home in this:

It's a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T R-spec. That's quite a mouthful, but essentially it's their race package, without luxury items like leather and a sunroof. It's powered by a 4 cylinder turbo motor designed by the chrysler, hyundai and mitsubishi motor co-op. It's the same block and internals as an evo engine, but with a different head, manifold and turbo. It sends that power to the rear limited slip differential through a 6 speed manual. Couple that with the upgraded springs, front/rear sway bars, stabilizer bar, and fat brembo brakes- It's fun. Heck, this thing even came with camber bolts stock. No big mod plans, I intend to autocross it in stock class (A-street tire specifically), which has a very limited stack of mods you can do. It's a pretty rare car here in colorado, so if you see me throw up a shocker or something.
Happy motoring!
