i cant wait to see this on your car.. I think I have one of these on my L, although I havn't found a Legacy yet with the same spoiler as mine

nope, not the exact same. The 1st gen legacy decklid was narrower, BD spoilers wouldn't work.

Those plug the drill holes in the trunk lid and relieves the stress on the lid metal that the spoiler is attached too. Mainly when you shut your trunk. Works like a stop and a plug.

Does that make sense?

Youll have to drill two holes in your trunk on each side. One will be overtop of the interior skin/ribbing/support. Theres a hole there which will allow you to rachet the nut down, and these rubber things act as a bumper for when you close the trunk

Chances are you already have two rubber stop things on your trunk, so these wouldnt be needed.

Looks like the rubber stops on my trunk lid. They cover the screw holes for the spoiler.

OK, I was too tired and shouldn't have posted last night.

You both explained the same thing as me but much more coherantly. :)

i didn't actually see a turbo legacy at the junkyard or else she'd prob have the bumper and hood to match 8)

spencer loves me :-D

anyway, i don't want to go overboard with the turbo leg additions cause i don't want to advertise something i don't have

i'm just trying to get rid of the random chrome and i've always liked the spoiler, so yeah...

IMO, bumper has nothing to do with it being turbo, its just a better look.

If you pasted "TURBO" on it, then you'd be impersonating

Even a hoodscoop can be made functional (ram air)

I want to put a STi motor in my Legacy. Then I could put a huge scoop on there, and an STi wing, and paint it all WRB (and get an honest rally suspension, and rally the hell out of the car). I'm a poor college student right now, so that's a bit far off. ;)
