Hiya.
Had been out working late on thursday night, when i took the car the dash was all black, HVAC panel aswell, but the lights in the roof works.
Then i noticed that the indicators had stopped working too, when i move the arm for the indicators i dont hear a relay click either, but the Hazard lights work perfectly fine.

I found the fuse for the instrument lights today, and found out it was blown, put in another one, and as soon as i hit ignition it blows. Took out the dash instruments and checked if i had forgotten a plug, but everything was in.
I tried it one more time, but this time with the switch for the rear fogs not plugged in, because that stopped working couple of weeks back, but same deal, hit ignition and fuse blows.

Does anyone have an idea, or electric scheme or something that i can have a look at? I am totally bummed out when it comes to electrics, but dad isn't, so hopefully we'll get it fixed soon...

100% something is shorting out. Possibilities include:
a) cut/frayed/corroded wires
b) connectors not seated properly and causing an "arc" from connector to panel
c) the fuse could be to low

I am not to familiar with 2.2 GX's but I can only assume there the same as 2.2 Brightons.

Grab the 1995 manual from AussieDan @ viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5723 (http://www.sl-i.net/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=5723)

Good luck with the electrical gremlins

Mine started doing the same thing. Out of nowhere it seemed like. My problem is at the bottom of the firewall/dash/steering column. There's a group of wires that are down near the pedals and I noticed when I hit them with my foot, the lights would flicker. When they go out, I just give it a little tap with my foot and they come on. I have a 97 legacy GT 2.5
