Removing center and side vent covers?

i started painting my interior and im stuck at my center and side vent covers.. i dont want to pry them off without knowing how they come off in the first place.. can anyone help me out?

the center vents have two screws that also hold the cut holder. and the sides im sure just pop out.

cool, thanks for the input on the sides, but i took off the cup holder and have already painted the bottom cover for around the tape player and the center vent cover was still attached at the top even though there were no screws left in visible sight... am i just misreading your post or is there screws in the dash that need ti be taken out? i just really dont want to pry things off and break something being hasty.

the side are held in with clips. not the easiest to get out, and the top of the center is clips also. just be carefully but may need some good force to get out

cool, thank you very much for the help.. ill post pics up if i get around to finishing it this weekend, but ill put some up after im out of work this afternoon of the progress so far..
