My previous Subaru, it was rear ended and written off: http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-8/1 ... aru001.jpg (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-8/1069630/JulySubaru001.jpg)

I'm in Alberta, Canada and imported my 1994 BG5 GT in May 2009. After a thorough inspection and complete fluid change, I got my car on the road and immediately loved it! Unfortunately, I only got 300km on it before I threw a rod. :smt013
I trailered the car to Lightspeed Performance and we proceeded to install an EJ257 short block and did a port and polish as well. Many people on various Subaru forums had said that the twin turbo was a failure to begin with and that converting to single was the only solution, but I kept mine so that I could own something unique. We also installed a ViPEC standalone ECU which allows me to tune everything in real time via a laptop connected by USB. We haven't done a dyno run yet due to the downpipes not being completed, but the builder figures a conservative 260WHP. We will see once the dyno run is complete. The dyno run will also show if the VOD is still present, although at this time the butt dyno says it is all but gone.

Here's a link to the ViPEC system if anyone is interested:

Due to the substantially increased horsepower, I am having an issue with the automatic transmission at this point as well. When on the highway at cruising speed, everything is great. When I put my foot in it (with no kickdown to a lower gear) it picks up great until the secondary turbo spools up at ~4000 RPM. At that point the torque converter can't handle the sudden increase in power and the RPMs immediately spike to over 5000 RPM, it doesn't seem to lock up quick enough or solenoid B is failing. We are going to wire solenoid B into the ViPEC to tell the torque converter to lock up 100% over 2500 RPM. If that doesn't do the trick, it will be sent to a performance transmission shop for upgraded internals and solenoids. All of this is taking some time to complete as the builder is 1.5 hours away from me and only open on weekdays. I run a steel fabrication shop and also am only open weekdays, so getting the vehicle there on a regular basis is troublesome.

At this point, here is my list of mods:

EJ20H Hybrid with EJ257 small block
ViPEC V44 Engine Management
Cusco Vacanza Coilovers
Whiteline Sway Bar in the rear (front will follow once we find the correct one)
3" exhaust from Y pipe back
Jasma Muffler
Completely decatted
Momo Nero Steering Wheel
JVC KD-AVX33 Faceplate/Soundstream 705S Amp/Boston Acoustics SR65 Doors Speakers/Dual Rockford Fosgate P3SD412 Subwoofers in Custom Box/Stock Tweeters
17" ASA Revolution Wheels

I met Kilroy on the weekend, and it's a slick car, I'll definitely give the two thumbs up. Kilroy's put lots of unique work into her, and I can't wait for a ride once the build is done!!! Gonna be crazy powerful! Here's a couple of gronchy shot of her!

And the only shot I've got of the front, has my pesky V1 STi clownin' up the front of the shot.. photobomb!

It looks better in person than these shots. I Bonched them up, and tried to save them with some HDR trix, but failed at that too - these are better than the originals though.
