drive shaft swaps?

ok so my drive line took a shit, i can only find on subaru in my local junk yard but its a 91 2.2 and mine is a 98 2.5 both are sedan and awd and auto just wondering if i can swap em? and if not wat cars can i swap with? i have a 98 legacy gt sedan thanks

how did you break your drive shaft????

since the wheelbase on the 92 is about 2 inches shorter, i cant say for sure if it will work or not.

Any 2nd get driveshaft should work as long as the transmission type is the same (ie 5mt to 5mt, auto to auto). I learned the hard way that driveshafts do NOT cross over from different subaru models or generations.

as was mentioned early, probably not, if you get it measured them you might have a better idea.

have you tried using www.car-part.com (http://www.car-part.com) to find one yet?

ok i found one locally but its a 2.2 liter and a 96 i hope it will work, imgoing to but the hole car so if anyone else needs parts off of it
