While doing a compression test my friend and i discovered that one of the plug wires had a crack which did go up past the rubber on the very end. once the wire was replaced i have not had any shuttering AT ALL.

yep i had the same issue, spark plug wires wouldn't make a good seal and would come loose causing only 2 cylinders to work, thankfully im runing a high discharge coil but it would still shutter like crazy with too much gas... who knew?

High voltage like the ignition system can do some really incredible things especially since it really, really doesn't want to jump the gap of the spark plug with the compression and all that going on.

It never even came to mind to check for a cracked end on a wire, I went crazy checking everything else. But somthing soo simple...never crossed my mind. It made a BIG difference.
