No brake light; 96' Outback

I have been working on a 96' outback and all the brake lights stopped working. There aren't any fuses blown. My only theory is that the switch on the pedal failed, but that's seems kinda weird to me. Any one ever have this issue?

look at your brake switch and see if it is adj right.
