Trying to decide between BAHA Hood which I think goes for about $379 at dealer and a little less through SubaruParts. Trouble is SubaruParts cannot insure the item since it is so big. Has anyone purchased a hood through SubaruParts? If so, please share your experiences.
The other option is to add a hood scoop onto the OEM hood. The only one I am interested in is the one that is on the S401 STi. Does anyone know where one gets one of these hood scoops and how much it costs to install by competent body shop?
Thanks!

subaruparts.com has gone way downhill. they take forever to ship and wont respawn to emails or phone calls.. i'll never order from them anymore.
best to get a hood from the dealer. shipping company really dont respect packages and your likely to get a damage hood (usally on the corners near windshield) unless they package real well. and insurance threw shipping is a complete hassle and takes a bit of time. so at least from the dealer you can inspect the hood before you pick it up

Thanks, decke48. I noticed that SubaruParts never returned calls. So if BahaTurbo Hood I will probably get from the dealer.
Anyone have information on the S401 type hood scoop?

Is the baja hood steel or aluminum?
As for the S401 scoop... it's too expensive, look for an imitation.

So anybody know if the Baja hood is steel or aluminum?
Here's an alternative to the S401 scoop (and it's almost half the price...): http://www.c-west.co.jp/serchitem/item. ... 0000000254 (http://www.c-west.co.jp/serchitem/item.asp?item_id=0000000254)
