i have found an 8 ply tire in LT195/70/15. does anyone know how stiff the tire will be. it is a new tire to les schwab tires so they didn't even know that they had it or any onfo. it is $465.44 installed, not an agressive tire tread, more of a highway tire. my stock size is P205/70/15 so the speedo will be off. i did not see the brand name, but the price of the tire, in 8 ply, i think it is a good price. if i am right i could basically run over anything.

Not sure I understand the purpose for putting a highway truck tire on a BG (an aggressive truck tire would be different, if you went offroading with it)

As far as their puncture resistance, depends on whether the number of plys refers to the tread or the sidewalls and what the plys are made of.

And those tires are probably heavy as hell for their size.

i agree with the above. whats your logic on using a truck tire???

the tires are fairly inexpensive, and they look like they might be a good tire. looks like it would repell rain really well. plus most of my driving is highway, so i dont really need an agressive tire. i was hoping for something that would last longer than the 20k i got out of the tires i have on now. the tires on it not are starting to slip on wet corners, so i want to replace them soon.

If you want tires that last a long time get the BFGoodrich Radial T/As. We had them on an Outback Sport and they lasted over 60k miles before we had to replace them cause they started to suck in the snow.
