How do I remove the carpet? Is it really simple or do i have to remove a lot of panels?

very simple in my bk wagon. 2 seats. the trim around the edging of the doors. 1 for each door. 1 for each center pillar. and near the footrests and rear seat there are some plastic push clips takes maybe 25 minutes alone.

how much did the headliner run you? I am thinking about doing it as well as my carpet and door cards.

don't use that duplicolor spray! unless you want to redo it every month. i used it, and it looks killer, but rubs off. how is the rit holding up? i probably will end up doing the whole carpet

It depends on what area of your car your carpet is installed. Are you changing it or just wants to clean it? With my Toyota it is very easy to remove but I guess in other cars you need to remove some panels before you can actually remove the carpet.

I would think it would work fine. I suggest mixing up a couple different "strengths" and testing it before pulling the carpet. I'd start with a 30% dye/70% water in a squirt bottle with a fine wide spray and see what coverage is like and increase/decrease the strength as needed.
Someone try this and let me know how it turns out. I've been looking at the duplicolor solution but I honestly don't feel like having to pull my carpet out more then once.

love you httrdd. I might pick up a bottle of it at wally world later and spray a floor mat to see how it turns out.
Also, since I still have floor mats I wouldn't think the carpet underneath would fade as fast. I'm ok with redoing the floor mats every couple months.

You can buy that RIT dye at most supermarket stores as well. Thats where I always see it being sold.

Cool then I will stop at Walmart on the way home. That is the right one correct? Most of my interior is still apart so removing the carpet should be easy.

I'd pick up a squirt bottle and a carpet brush as well. Keep us posted :D

Yep. Could not find it at walmart or cvs. I am sending the woman to the fabric stores tomorrow so I am going to start the tearout earlier.

2.99 each at Joann Fabric. It says nothing about mixing it with water so I am going to call the manufacturer.

I don't think you need to mix it, but I was suggesting it because it doesn't seem like you would need full strength. Keep us posted on how it works out. I'm going to pick some up this weekend probably.

Have you redone your headliner? How much fabric would you say is needed for a BK headliner and door cards ( can't measure cause my car is out for a engine rebuild)

I bought 3 yards of fabric and it's enough to do BD door cards and the headliner.
