Is there a place in japan that makes aftermarket part for BD's? I am especially interested in some HID projectors.

There are, but they're crazy expensive... They black them out, do an HID conversion, and add the halo to the lights like BMWs. They're called "ika rings" (means squid rings) here.

well I am looking at $700 for JDMs plus a bi zenon retro, blacked out housing and cleared corners. if they are $500 shipped i'd be better off

UNless of course the ones from japan are cheaper then $700

There are people locally who will retrofit HID projectors, black out the housings, and probably add halos if you asked. heresmymind on the forums does it, he did mine, but all I did was retrofit in the FX projectors. The thing to keep in mind is that quality lighting is not cheap. A lot of the aftermarket lighting out there that is not that expensive just ends up being cheap quality.

Yeah i am considering buying his. I don't really want halos. they will run be about 640. At the same time for just $60 more I can get a pair made for me just how i want it.
