Hi, guys! I've been a lurker at this forum for a few months (since I ebayed my 98 Brighton in February), and you guys have sure been helpful. I'll have to hop back on after work and hand out "thank you" posts in the threads that helped me most!
Anyway, on my local craigslist, I see that there's a 30th Anniversary Edition OB for sale as parts (transmission is shot). The post mostly reads:
Late 1999 Limited Edition Subaru Outback wagon. Has CD, front heated leather seats, factory stereo, 4 NEW tires (under warranty), 15' alloy rims, good engine, 160,000 miles, etc..
The front driver's seat in my Brighton is all smashed (it was one guy's old delivery vehicle), so I'd like to replace it. I'd also like to swap in a CD player and maybe some rear speakers. Before next winter, I'd like to pick up some OB alloy 15" rims and replace the stock brighton springs with something more like King springs so that it'll ride higher (better for clearing snow!) and handle better.
At any rate, what I'd like to know is this:
Do you think that I could swap out the seats from the OB to my Brighton? How much money would you offer for a OB that you'd have to tow to your workplace before you could part it out? Are there any other valuable parts that I could sell to make back money on the purchase of the OB?
Thanks in advance for answering the questions, guys! I'll post more when I get back home from work. And I'm sorry if I didn't put the right forum--I couldn't exactly tell where it should go.
