Quick question...
Would 04 wrx struts make a direct fit onto a 97 Outback Wagon?
Whats everything i will need?
Thanks

Aright cool :)
So struts and springs and rear tophats are all i need for the transformation?

Would i have to remove the spacers between the subframe?..
I would think so, am i correct?

Removing the spacers is the correct way to do it but I think it can be done without.

We have a thread called "lowering my outback the hard (right) way." It's conveniently located in the top of the "chassis and suspension" section.

I'm aware, but that thread was made by someone who has access to every tool imaginable and a lift. That doesn't mean you still can't do a WRX suspension swap, but I'm pretty sure you would put your control arms above level and sacrifice overall suspension geometry. But that doesn't mean it cant be done. Thanks for suggesting that thread though, that would be the "proper" way to go about it.

Wasn't directing that towards you, but to the OP. He clearly is looking for answers, but doesn't know where to search the info (that's been covered already).

So all i have to do is lower those spacers and ill get a drop? I wouldnt mind the slightest drop, just kinda noticeable hahaha

You can bolt the 04 suspension on and it will drop the car.

You can remove all the Outback body-lift spacers and the car's suspension geometry will be proper. It probably doesn't matter a ton for a street-driven daily driver though.

Mine did, badly, in the rears. My struts were worn, though.

Okay guys
So i removed my Subframe Spacers..seemed as if only the rears can come out and the front ones cant..?
When i bolted it back up w/o the spacers in the rear, it didnt give it a drop at all, same ride height and i know it seems impossible, but maybe even a lil higher...???
Am i missing something?

Im just gonna get lowering springs for it, do you guys know any set of lowering springs that i can get thatll go right on with no problem..any kind of springs thatll give me a drop!! hahaha
Im in desprate need of drop :)
Por Favor HELPP!!!

Take it to Metric. :-)

You aren't going to get the drop without changing the struts and springs. removing the spacers, as stated, really only align your suspension geometry.
