oh, I know about that fix, but I don't have to tools to do it (i have no place to store them or a place to do a lot of work on my car). Don't know anybody in the area either. Since I am ordering the pulley, throttle body spacer and pitch mount shipping will be nothing for this and $30 for a guaranteed fix with no adjustments works for me.

That's certainly not a "guaranteed fix." Its a band-aid at best, and if you have a good functioning O2 sensor, you'll still get a code.

Not saying that to try and bash the product or be discouraging, just you should know that it isn't guaranteed and its not fixing anything.

The only tool you need is a drill and drill bit! I did this mod in my kitchen sink in my apartment.

What do you need a high flow cat for? It's a waste to get it unless you are turbo'd.

Mine are shot and Subaru want to too charge me $800 just for the cats the whole system (which needs replaced) will run me over 3k with Subaru, 2.2k with a local shop and 1.5k through the shop that screwed up my current system (previous owner). So I am getting a whole header back mandrel bent T-304 system done for 1k. the hi flow cats cost less then $100 each so it's cheaper.

i just cant believe that people think 1k is that great of a price for a custom exhaust. what size are you getting? what muffler? what high flow cat?

does the 1k include the cost of the cats? muffler? or just pipe and labor?

it includes all parts and labor, it's going to be a 2.25inch system. the guy does excellent work. And yes it's a deal compared to what everyone else was charging me. I am getting a vibrant exhaust, resonator and cat, Bosch o2 sensors because I need new ones, I figured while I am at why not get new headers and get them wrapped. i should give me an extra couple of hp and a little better fuel economy especially combined with my new intake. I am not expecting huge numbers here or anything. and it'll be less the one k. I think closer to $800 but I am not totally sure.he quoted me about 800 over the phone

Stick with regular flow cats. You aren't gonna pick any power from the high flows and you are just inviting the CEL.

And for the front O2, get a Subaru sensor. It is a Bosch sensor, but I hear that they are finicky that way.

well thats what the $30 part supposedly fixes. or the DIY fix. it would seem detrimental to go from 2.5 inches to 2 inches? to 2.25 inches.

$500 is a lot for the cat from them. I will probably just stick with the hi flow and do either the DIY or the $30 part.

your not looking hard enough, they do not cost $500, they basically cost the same as their high flows....

Well i did the little form on their site and put in my car info then selected universal Cat and they told me $500

which means your doing it wrong.... just look through their actual universal cats... and choose the design you like... Google the model number to find the best prices... its all pretty simple.
