Dent Removal

Been looking through this section for some tiem now and i cant find anything on how to remove dents in the doors and in the bumpers.... does anyone have any suggestions on how to do so?

Bumpers are that plastic material - pulling dents can be difficult depending on the nature of it. I would remove the bumper, heat it up really good and try to just push it back in place.

Hey there try googling PDR= paintless dent removal. there are companies that are mobile and come to you and work the dents out. http://www.dingking.com/
So when i worked at a body shop we used to get in small dents from rocks etc. and aslong as it didnt have a defect in the paint like craking/chip we did not what to have to bodo such small damage and have to remove door modings window trims,door handles just to pain a door and then sometimes blend to additional door or buff to blend entire side(adjoining panels) just for samll dents.
So these guys come out in the van they have these special tools that look like rods with stange angles to get in tight areas. the take off inner door panels etc and get in and with heat gun and using the tool's to rub i think circular motion they can litteraly removerub out the dammage usually with no imperfections in the paint. saving the costumer much money.
So my idea is maybe look into if you have any PDR company's in your area they can maybe give estimate if it is something they can do for you( I am at work and the web block wont let me see your pictures posted sorry) Also i personally thought it my be nice to buy the tools myself i think it comes with instruction manual or maybe an online/ you tube instructional video. to do it your self..

thats a pretty gay spot to have a dent...

remove everything from inside the door panels and then heat it up and push it out

why should i use to push it out? it really cramped inside the door so not much fits in

Don't push it out. Thats ghetto as hell. If you want to do it properly you will have to do it the hard way. Stud welds + mini puller + hammer. Thats how it seems to be done from what I know. I've never done it myself Then you would continue with filling / priming / sanding / base coat / clear coat. Look up stud welding on youtube.

i dont really have a place to do this. you cant really tell theres even a dent when you look at it, so i might just leave it

Just leave it. My car has dozens of dents like that, the shopping carts will keep finding your car.

Yeah I would just leave it.. unless you come across a cheap door in the same color. Or a door for cheap and can get it resprayed for cheap (prolly be around $400 total)

Too bad you're not in Colorado Springs, there's an awesome dent remover guy that's mobile and cheap. He does a heck of a job too, all the local body shops have him on speed dial and he makes a great living. I'm getting all the parking lot dings done on my doors for $50 and a case of Bud Light! Find someone like that in your area and you won't be disappointed!

I'm throwing this out there as it may or may not work. I haven't tried it but was thinking of trying it some day in the future. You can also go on You Tube and see some videos of how they heat up a ding with a hair dryer (I don't know if a heat gun would be better or worse) and then they spray computer keyboard cleaner or something like that on the heated spot. The cold spray and heated metal supposedly pops out some of the dings.

Again, I don't know if it works but some people swear by it.

No flaming for this suggestion please; it's just an alternative possibility for less cost involved. (But if anyone tries it and it works, let us know!)
