So i just got my JDM lights a couple days ago and not ten minutes after i got them they were in the oven. I put them in @ 200* for about 30 min and i could pull them apart with only my hands awesome. So im going to be doing a quad retro with 2010 RX 350 Bi xenon projectors and morimoto mini H1 bixenon projector. Im also going to be putting in CCFL hola rings and LED strips.
New joys in the box

Looks like this will turn out really nicely. I'm curious to see how good the cutoff is with these projectors after when they're sitting behind the front of the headlight.

Got a bit more work done tonight but almost gonna be at a stand still. I will need to order more part before im gonna be able to move on kinda sucks im almost thinking about getting this first part done and just putting them on so i can see again. The rest of the parts i need are
1)85122+ bulbs
2)55w ballasts
3)2 sets of CCFL angel eyes
4)LED strips
5)Morimoto Mini projector
and now for the work
wanted to close up the front of the projector to keep random light shooting around the insaide of the headlight

cut and fitted around soleniod

used part od the eom ring and the old suby shroud

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2010/05/dsc00422m-1.jpg
Picked up an end cap from the home depot to cover the end of the headlight cause the back of the bulb holder is large and the stock suby cover wont allow adjustment. I also cut out some room for the soleniod and plug

So didnt get really any more done today but kinda half put them together and saw how they look for now. I still need the rest of my parts and cant do much till i get them. My next plan of attack is to cover up the hole in the bottom that gave room for the solenoid. But for now i have some teaser pics to post up

https://sl-i.net/FORUM/images/imported/2010/08/imag0134o-1.jpg
t
like the other side i also made to same little cover out of a project box
and then glued both of them using TPO repair glue man that stuff sets up super fast

Here both are done i went over them with automotive goo to make sure they r sealed up
http://a.imageshack.us/img806/1801/imag0140.jpg
I also cleared out the front lens where the second set of projectors is gonna go. I used a mini DA (dual action sander) starting with 80 grit and worked down to 3000 then polished it with a mini buffer

Depends on the oven, I had to turn the oven up 15 more degrees and leave them in there for 20 minutes for the glue to soften up, but 200 at 10 is a good starting point

Is there actually anything stopping a guy from doing this to his USDM buckets? Seeing as how you have to cut them up anyhow I think I'd rather do it with the cheaper housings....

Quad projectors would be difficult but certainly doable. A regular bi-xenon setup with a pair of Morimoto Mini H1 projectors could be done in an afternoon if you don't want to mess around too much with painting, LEDs, etc.
