So i got bored and decided to do some work on my wagon. Installed an authentic Cusco BG5 front upper strut bar i just recieved from Japan. Also installed a BG5 ZeroSport Radiator shroud and modded an 02 WRX Carbign Craft alternator cover. Looks good. Tried to instal my weapon r intake i got today but the damn couplers are not the right size, oh well. Debating on if i should put my Rally armour mud flaps on now, or if i should wait for my suspension to arrive, hmmmmm.

Is that the radiator shroud for the 2.5 rs?

Negative, it is the bg5 shroud. But it would work on a 2.5 rs if i remember correctly the radiators are all the same for the early models.

had one of my buddies ship it from japan. I do know that the 93-01 impreza shroud works for pretty much any 2.5 or 2.2. I was going to go that route until my buddy found me this one.

so i couldnt sleep last night and figured i might as well work on the wagon. So at about 1am i put in my intake system. Replaced some hoses i found were missing when i pulled of the naasty airbox. Looks nice, sounds mean

thanks guys. Ya, im all about clean lol. The alternator cover i think does it, i had to mod it to fit around my power steering rez, but wasnt to hard, plus i got it off craaigs for 50$. More to come tho, planning on painting the washer fluid and coolant rez flat black this weekend. really give it that mean look

yup, the 93-01 Rally armour flaps for the imprezas/rs will fit on pretty much any legacy newer then 92 from what i waas told. The only thing that is different is where the wholes are for the mounting. But thats an easy fix

yeah they were a bit of a pain for us and even with the DIY, checking each wire ect be managed to flip the lows and the high beams.Also get some ddm HID's. I love them in mine

Yea, I have heard it's a pain. Especially since I want the highs on my projectors to turn the highs on my fogs

Well I got the bg5 foglights and thy have the fog light and then the light that comes on with ur turn signal. I don like the turn signal light so I'm planning on splicing that with my high beams instead

So, woke up this morning, its a beautiful day. Its raining, cloudy, and kinda cold, but a beautiful day. Why you ask? Well, instead of waking up being depressed that it was 98 yesterday and 60 today, i woke up and installed my projectors. Hellz ya.

Ok, so projectors are in, and they are turnig heads . I want to get my bg5 fogs in but am having some issues. Does anyon know the dimensions of the fog light holes in the bg5 bumper? I need to cut my holes bigger and don't want to fudge it up

ahhh, you want the measurements of the fog opening on the BG5 bumper. might be hard to find cuz anybody with one installed will surely have the fogs installed too.

Yeah I am dreading doing this. I am actually looking to get a GT-B bumper and bumper beam but I will still install mine so I can sell the GT bumper off with the JDM fogs pre installed.

yea it blows. There are a bunch of bumpers on ebay, but they are like 250+200 shipped. Way to much especially since they would need paint. Plus when i ask the sellers for the dimensions they give me the run around, dont wanna give em to me. Oh well. there is a guy that rolls around me that has them in his ride, but i gotta try and find him so i can ask him.

so, i got my subaru trophy peice thing in the mail today after like, 4 months. I need some suggestions on where to put it. For those of u who dont know, subaru gives out these decals w/ the number of subarus you have owned and a symbol. Typically people put thes eon the rear under the legacy, or wrx/sti decal, but im all about uniquness. So give me some suggestions please lol

So I tried to bring my stock fog lights back to life. Epic fail. Now the just look foggy. Any advice because the plan is to tint them yellow Monday night

This hot weather inspired me to go get my windows tinted. So, after about 6 hours with no car, i picked it up. Only bad thing is i cant roll my windows down for 7 days and my ac is empty. Ugh, oh well, thats next on my list.

Ok Sli world help me out. Should I go k-sport coilovers or should I go 04 wrx kyb struts and 04 tein h lowering springs. Only wanting to go an inch or so lower. And the difference between the 2 set ups is 250 bucks

Finally got around do painting my rear lip. I was to lazy to take it off, sand it and paint, so i just did it on the car. Probably took twice as long to mask off the bumper, but oh well, i didnt feel like taking the time to remove all the bolts lol. Ill post some finished pics later today.

About the suspension, you'll get a less bouncy ride if you choose struts with springs. But the coilovers would probably give you more control with less body roll, and it's adjustable! I'd probably would go with the struts and springs since you don't want to slam your car down, just lower an inch. I've never had H-techs, but they should probably lower your car an inch or maybe like a half inch more.

thats what i was thinking. no point getting the k-sports for only an inch lower. that seems like a waste since those are made to adjust to different heights and what not. Since the tein springs are for an 04, should i get 04 wrx struts, or would they work on 97 kyb struts?

interesting discovery today, i finally decided to put my RallyArmour Mud Gaurds on only to realize that i dont have the plastic thing inside my wheel well. I have no idea why i dont and dont think i can put these bad boys on without it as the plastic is where i mount 4 of the 6 screws. anyone know anything about mud gaurds and wheel well plastic thingys lol, thanks

I know you got the k-sports already, but yeah, i don't think the wrx h-techs would fit on legacy struts because at least the rear springs are smaller at the top than they are on the bottom while the legacy springs are the same diameter throughout. Or so I've heard...

That's weird about the mud guards. Maybe contact a local subaru dealer so you can get the plastic piece. My car has them but that's cause I had mud guard on stock.

So my new K-Sports arrived yesterday, so after work i took em down to my buddies shop and slapped them in. Very pleased with how they look. The drive is nice, still needed a few tweaks here and there, also not sure if my ride height is good enough. Lemme know what you guys think

So far the k-sports are awesome, still doing few adjustments to ride height and stiffness of them, but i am 110% pleased with how they turned out. Thing handles corners like crazy. This setup really compliments my strut and sway bars

I'd raise the back end about a quarter inch. You may want the extra height when you put loads in the hatch.

To my amazement the rear hatch is stiff. My buddy and I loaded 300lbs and it only sagged like 4cm. I was amazed . I thought the same thing but after that test I don't think it's necessary. We will see though how well it holds up at the current settings

finally figured out what this annoying knocking sounds was coming from hard right turns. Replaced wheel bearings, knuckle and hub and sound is gone, finally i dont have to blast my stereo to stop from hearing the noise.

HID's check, sold my projectors decided i liked the yellow fogs, have alpine door speakers, 12 inch sub, deeciding if i want some grenador mirrors ( i think thats how they are spelled lol ). I was actually considering buying an HKS exhaust and doing custom piping but not sure. Good advise on the wrx swap lol, not enough cash for that seein as im paying for my new prez

well, my project is over. Did everything cosmetically and handling i intended to do and got a offer on her leaving a best buy. 6k for my hard parker with 205k miles and a slipping tranny, not bad
