Electronic ticking.

I just got a glacier white 97 legacy LS. It has 15" rims. Stock original exhaust. NO CEL. 4 door. they even lock. windows roll down. it has an ej25 with dual port. AC works. the car drives when you put it in drive. Has a gas tank door. that works when u pull the lever. Trunk opens too. you turn the key and start the motor, put your foot on the brake to release the nss to be able to put it in drive. once the process is done i then put it in drive and i then hear an electronic noise. only when its in drive though. Iv heard the same noise on many other subarus at our 30,000 member meets. This is a question. Does any one have an idea what that sound is that i hear?? but keep in mind my car is glacier white so i think that has somthing to do with it. and i also think the AWD sticker may have somthing to do with it.

can you record it somehow and upload it? My subarus have some peculiaur noises, some I was able to solve, others I learned to ignore. :grin:

Also someone must of swapped the engine before since the LS shouldn't have a 2.5L, not sure that it matters for this, though.

i think the relays under the dash are the noise. i hear them when i turn the ac on or when it gets up to temp and he fan kicks on it makes a clicking noise that i pin pointed to the fuse box so it must be a relay

well its not like a single click every now and then. it kinda sounds like those stupid magnets kids throw up in the air and they slam together.

Well yeah, ya didnt know that? a sticker and the color of the car effects the electronics and how it runs.

That is a shitload of Subarus or just people in general all in the same place.

My LGT is green and it makes a lot of noise. Most of it is me screaming with the radio. A little of it is the sound of the power antenna going up when the car kicks on.

Mine makes this weird vrooming noise when I step on the gas. Its kind of like the sound you hear all those Hondas making, but not as gay.
