first off two months ago, yes two months, i got my key stuck in the ignition. the locking mechanism for my driveer door is really sluggish, so it bent my key when i lock it and unlock it. So I'm guessing the key was bent a little when i putted it in the ignition so it didn't go in all the way. Can i fix this without going to a locksmith, cause i'm really shorton cash at the moment.

The other problem is when i start the car after turning it off for less than 2 hours( the car could be off from 5min to 2 hour and it would still do the same thing).
the rev drops like its going to die and raises up like its got power and then drops again like its going to die and then raises up again. It has never died on me unless I stall it out, and it only does this on some occasions. What could be the cause of this. I've own the car since nov, but the engine I've own since jan '09, yet I haven't replaced any mechanical or electrical part since I've own it.

Your first problem can be easily fixed within 30 mins.

You need to go to the dealer and order a new Ignition Cylinder. This usually costs $75 depending on your car.
This includes a new key that WILL NOT match your current key.

So end result will be Ignition Key and Door lock Key.

You will need to remove the steering wheel column cover. Its 4 Philips screws if I am not mistaken. Once you take your cover out put the key in the "accessory" position. Now look at the ignition cylinder and you will see a little hole to stick a rod in and push the lock in and then you can just pull the key with the ignition cylinder out.

This is what it looks like when the wheel is removed. You don't have to take off the wheel its just going to be a bit harder.

Use a coat hanger that's trimmed down to size with some side cutters.

.

The second problem you have is probably related to your "idle air control valve" or IACV. This controls your idle or revs. Theres a bunch of info on SLi, nasioc, i-club etc.. on how to clean and or replace your unit.

Assuming that you have no check engine lights active.

Good luck

Oh i forgot to add it is possible to recode your door locks to fit the new key or vise versa door locks to fit the ignition cylinder but this all costs money so its up to you.

have your battery checked with the concern about the idle. did the same thing in my bros '07 Impreza and did a similar thing in my '98 outback when the battery went bad. hasn't done it since
