What a big mistake

So I decided to install the 2 pots on back of my BH.. from what I read, all you needed was the calipers, rotors and the bracket (KARTBOY)..I went ahead and did the mod... the stock rear rotors are were so rusted (original 00) that I had to put some elbow grease and a little hammering to get it off.. put everything on and noticed that the WRX rotors are smaller than the BH GT rear..

an expensive mistake... (drilled Brembo Rotors) the GT rear rotors are bigger than the wrx.. so for the people that are doing this brake swap.. please keep this in mind..

Ill post pics and will be looking to sell the rotors (to non GT guys)

Sure, I'm interested in what you're selling.

What year WRX? Also for you, a 2005+ Legacy GT might be an upgrade since they get the big vented rear rotors, but single pot calipers. Sucks you found out the hard way.

:smt005 lol? I guess that's what you get for not reading the 20 or so writeups about putting 2pot FHI's in the rear. Nor did you read the 20 or so threads about the "h6" rear brake upgrade for wrx's, which is pretty much bolting the stock rear brakes from any BH/BE onto a WRX.

Also, I guess its safe you say you did't know that you need 11.4" VENTED rear rotors for this upgrade; same diameter as your stock rears, but again, theyre vented, not solid like your stockers - found on 06-07 wrx's and 05+ LGT's.

H6 rears are solid, like WRX and BD rear rotors. Turbo legacy and 2pot rotors are vented.

I don't really see how this is a mistake. Your doubling the clamping force even though the surface area is smaller as-well as decreasing unsprung weight (The 1pot vs 2pot rears are almost the same weight FYI). The 2-pot should perform better then the 1-pots w/ H6 rotors.

His big mistake was ordering a set of rotors that won't even fit under the 2pots. Again, FHI 2pots require a 11.4" vented rotor. No other rotor will work. I don't understand the confusion, the size has been listed on a few of the DIY's for these things.

its for an 05+ LGT, but you need to specify... some came vented and some non.. the other differnce are the drum, some are larger..

i have the EBC slotted and blind drilled on all 4 corners, with EBC red stuff. had them for 11 months. they are awsome. the fronts have about 3 month tell they need replaced, but thats the way i drive. dont feel like an ass, next time read and ask ben about brakes.
