Will a trailer hitch work with a 2nd gen legacy gt?

Looking to put a hitch from my 1993 Legacy L wagon on to my 1998 Legacy GT wagon. Will this fit, or will the bumper on the 98 be too low?

the part number for the tow hitch is the same for 90-99 Legacy wagons & sedans, including outbacks. The receiver part is different, it's shaped like an L to clear your bumper, instead of the straightish sedan one.
