Removing amber piece

I have a set of jdm tail lights and I wanted to know if its possible to remove the amber piece inside the jdm tail lights? Is it pretty much like removing the amber piece in the corner lights or is it slightly different? Any help would be great thanks.

The Jdm tail light don't have amber. only the Usdm tails have amber, and its not removable.

There is an amber piece its inside the jdm tail light, the cover is clear and there is an amber piece inside it to make it turn amber when you signal and my bulb is clear. My usdm tail light the cover is amber and my bulb is clear so when you signal its already amber. I have a set of jdm and usdm tail lights and I see nothing inside my usdm tail lights but I see an amber piece inside the jdm tail lights. So I was j/w if its possible to remove the amber piece inside the jdm tail lights. Well what I wanted to do is remove the amber piece inside the jdm tail lights and use an amber bulb. Hopefully this clears things up a little thanks.

i know what your saying and the only thing i can think of is that it'd be a bitch to do. any reason you wanna pull that out?
you cant see it from the outside and it doesn't really reduce the light output enough to make a difference

um no, red is just fine on tail lights..... half the cars on the road don't have amber rear blinkers....

true dat, but im saying you cant have blue and shit in there..

unless you have a car from pre-70's or a motorcycle where blue and violet are legal

colors other than white, and yes, red are not permitted from the rear of the vehicle... that includes liscense plate lights and those gheyy frames from walmart

Oh I just wanted to pull that amber piece out and use an amber bulb anyway. I figure my corner lights are clear and the bulb is amber I just wanted it that way. I also got the clear jdm side markers and it didnt come with the bulb holder thing and the bulb so I was gonna buy an amber bulb for my side markers. By the way anyone know where I can buy the bulb holding thing that has wires so I can tap it into my turn signals and an amber bulb that fits securely in it? Just wanted things to be the same all around, maybe im just being too picky. I know that I can see the amber piece inside the clear signals but if your standing at a good distance you wont notice a thing. I had first thought that the jdm tail lights used an amber bulb with no amber piece inside the tail lights but I guess I was wrong. My cousin has a 05 impreza and the tail lights are clear with an amber bulb. I liked that look so I just thought that if it was possible I wanted to do it but since you say it might be a bitch, man I dont know even if I wanna try. I sure as hell dont wanna mess around and break my jdm tail lights cause they arent cheap! Seems like its alot easier taking the amber piece out of the corner lights then the tail lights cause everyone seems to do that mod even with the one piece headlights. Just thought Id ask and see if anyone ever tried it or not, I have read a few DIY and I clearly see that all you subaru fans sure take things to the extreme and have made a few custom things yourself. Just thought Id be a little different and do my own "custom" work lol. My project "all black everything" is in effect so it'll probably wont be done 2-3 months from now, I'll be sure to post up some pics when Im done and let me know of your opinions and comments. I dont plan on making it all crazy and go all out cause car parts arent cheap! I dont know how you guys fork out so much $$$ on your ride how do you eat? as for me i save up and do almost all the work myself and the $$ has been spread across a large time frame, that's the only way i can afford it is 1 part at a time :)

edit, missed the bit about lacking bulb holders for the side markers, get a set off a 95-01 impreza and the bulb that goes in it

You say I can get the bulb holders and the bulbs from an impreza 95-01, but I was wondering subaru did make an impreza in 93-94 right? Does the 93-94 impreza models have the same or completely different bulb holders and bulbs just curious?
