bd radiator help

will a radiator from a 95 outback 2.2 fit my 98 lgt 2.5? there both auto i just found one in my local junk yard and tomorrow is half off day so its only 30 bucks, and if not wat one will fit my car? just 2.5? or just a lgt not a outback? just tryin to figure out wat to look for, thanks

different compared to what?

these cars were only produced with the 4EAT auto, or the (whatever? what is it?) manual.

the ebay listing sucks cause there are no pics of the actual thing.

but the only thing that makes an auto rad differ from a manual rad is that the auto one will, most usually contain a trans cooler...

ive gotten by in a pinch by finding a manual rad(without trans cooler) and buying an external trans cooler...

so if its for your correct year/body and auto trans should just slap in there.

if i remember correctly, it just has barbs for rubber hose anyway, so you can fiddlefuck around with that all day to get it to work if it doesnt line up just right, sometimes the cheapos dont.

where can i get a trany cooler? and about how much do they run? can i get one from the junk yard off of any car amd just find a place to mount it?

check out the bigger trucks/haulers and such at the junk yards... as long as the hoses are the right size, even if they arent, find some reducers and such. the fewer the better tho of course.

or the local chain parts stores, i think they were about 30 or 40 bucks new if i remember right...


might be cheaper to just go with the junk yard rad you mentioned in the first post tho...

A lot of cheaper aftermarket radiators just have the trans cooler in them all the time. If you have an AT, you hook up the cooler lines to the cooler. If you have an MT, you don't hook anything up to the cooler. Simple. The radiators are the same otherwise.
