Hey, My name is Gregory, I'm a gemini, I like long walks on the beach.......lol no seriously all that is true. I'm living in pa and started my love affair with subaru the first time I played gran turismo on the playstation. It then moved on to me owning and beating the snot out of my 94 leggy sedan that is still going and me getting the find of the century on craigslist which is my current project/daily driver. It's a 99 outback wagon that I got for $500. You may ask yourself what is wrong with it? And to that I say nothing. aside from it leaving little drops of motor oil here and there, it's like a dog marking it's territory really. But what happened was the guy was selling it, the car wouldn't go into 1st 3rd or 5th. He took it to his father in law's shop and he told the guy the tranny was shot. So, he sold it for $500 to me. Used his aaa card to have it dropped off at my house and the tow truck driver said the thing went in to gear just fine! Sure enough I got in started it and popped the clutch and off it went! My gain his loss! leather, power everything! I LOVE it. What I didnt love was cleaning it out from ten years of neglect. I swear there was an inch of dust on the dashboard. I work as a forklift mechanic so any repairs needed have been done by me. And I did drain the tranny, no flakes or anything. for whatever reason it got stuck in gear and the ride to my house broke it free. Maybe the scoob wanted to bust out and go to a better owner! Plus I think his father in law hates him for telling him the tranny was shot! Ha! So far I put on a borla exhaust from an impreza that hides under the bumper, cross drilled and slotted rotors with carbon ceramic pads, a momo steering wheel, an sti shift knob and a L7 grille. Oh and 118 db of "get the f out of my way!" hella supertones. Mechanically I had to put in a front crank seal and probably should seal up the other little leaks that drip but hey I work on stuff all day the last thing I want to do is pull my own damn motor and clean it up! I hope to get to know some folks better on here, but with the few posts and stuff that I have done so far it seems like I am getting a warm reception!
