SO in the past i have not had good luck with wheels and this time around I want them to fit right the first time. So first of all I have a 97 gt lowered on h&r springs and kyb gr2's. I ideally want to run a wheel that is pretty flush but I dont want to have to roll the fenders. I might be able to get my hands on some used 215-45-17's for pretty cheap so I am looking to get a wheel based around those specifications. I found some drag dr-31s aka rota torque's for pretty cheap and they are 17x8s. So my question is if i am able to get my hands on those tires and wheels 1. will they fit in my wheel wells with out rubbing 2. how stretched will the tires be if at all. And also what would be the ideal offset 35 or 47?
Also if anybody has any pictures with similar setups please post some pics so I can see what it looks like.
dude read the sticky at the top of the wheel/tire sub forum.. its a plethora of the info you need

I did read the sticky at the top of the page Zues i was just wondering if anybody could tell me precisely if it would work or not. And also I followed that page the last time I bought wheels and it didnt seem to work out to well being that the wheels rubbed on the struts and fenders.

lol. Just so it's clear, I've never run anything but coilovers on my wagon, with stiff-ass springs. so I'm not a good judge of "this fits with lowering springs."
My car rubbed with a 215 on a 7.5" ET48 rim the first time I tried it. Now, with stiffer springs and a bunch of fender work, I can clear 18x8.5's with 245's. Nothing will fit easy over a 215 unless you're willing to touch the fenders, and anything higher than a +48 and a 225 will probably rub a stock strut, from what I hear. Never tried it myself.
FWIW, I've seen wheels that fit my car with no issues have clearance problems on WRX's with coilovers - it's all in how you adjust stuff.
