Transmission number codes on VIN plate??

Hi guys, I have a 1990 Gt Legacy which im doing up to get back on the road. I brought it with a blowen auto transmission. I would like to buy a second hand transmission from a car wreckers but know one seems to know what the numbers/letters on the transmission code mean, so i can fit the correct transmission with the right ratios etc 1st time!! ("all the wreckers say this one SHOULD work") (should, could, wish it would...work)
My transmission Code/no. is TZ102ZB1AA-JR - i would love to know what those number mean!!! If any one can help, that would be great thank you!

TZ= Auto trans
10= 108mm distance between gears
2 = Legacy
Z = Fulltime 4WD A/T
B = 2.0L DOHC MPI turbo
1 = 1990
A = Indicates the trim
A = Not used (always "A")

The ratios are:
1st - 2.785
2nd - 1.545
3rd - 1.000
4th - 0.694
Rev - 2.272
Final - 4.444

Others on the forum can tell you what's compatible.

Thank you for the tranz info! that has been very help full trying to find a second hand transmission!
My trans. code is TZ102ZB1AA-JR and i have found a second hand transimssion to replace it code TZ102ZB2AA-MG is there any reason why this wont work in my Legacy??
