JDM Projector issues - Resolved

So I got my projectors a few days ago, and wired them in today. I was attempting to join the city lights and low beam, and have the rest the standard way. Now the problem, When my lows are on, the projectors are on, very dim, and the section of the light for high beam is on, but also dim, but the light between the projector and turn signal is not on. When I switch to highs the projectors go off and the high beams light up. Now as far as I know, the section used for the high beam should be the only thing on when the highs are on. Is this correct?

Summary: Low beam - Projectors (dim) , and lights closest to center of car (also fairly dim)
High beam: No projectors just lights closest to center of car (quite bright)
Is this the way its supposed to be? Or did I screw something up?

No thats not right. Something is wired wrong. It sounds like the low beams are grounding through the high beams. Re-check everything.

i had that same problem... i dont remember how i solved it but its in a thread around here..

just search jdm projector install and it should pop up

just remember it a ground switched system, it's all wired together all goofy like on the headlight

how do you guys modify the lights for the different beam shapes for LHD as compared with the RHD JDM lights.
i.e the beam of JDM/ RHD lights steps up slightly higher on the LHS of the beam, normally away from the on-coming traffic in RHD countries.
in the US you would be dazzling other drivers with those lights?

There is only 1 power wire and the rest are grounds.
The DRL or City Lights are wired directly into the low-bean ground.
Your high beams seem like there wired in properly. The lows turn off when the highs get activated.

If I can suggest something try this:

0) Make sure you light switch is set on not off. If it set to off then your DRL/City lights will be on via the low beams (dim)

1) Wire up the low beam and high beam. Test the light switch to make sure that your low beams are on and switch off when the high beams have been activated.

2) Once you have confirmed that low/high work. Attach the DRL/City light ground to the low-beam ground. All should be well.

A few people have done this. They bake the light and remove the lens. Take apart the projector itself. There is a little metal cut off plate that has to be adjusted.

I got it all to work, I just ran some jumpers from the battery to the different wires, to find out what controls what for sure, its just a matter of testing, not blindly listening to the DIY on the forum. Thanks for the help though everyone.
