Well here is my 2.5rs project. I bought her last Aug with 132k for 1,200 bucks. Well, you usually get what you pay for as she is needing a good dose of body work before she'll be ready for the road again. Luckily she is mechanically in great shape, but needs maintaince done before ill run her on the track. To keep this project on track, I set a goal of having everything done on my checklist by July 17th which is the Central Pennsylvania Region of SCCA annual Cone Killer Classic (2 Day Event). Wish me lot's and lot's of luck if I am going to make this deadline.

Suspension: WRX struts, ground control coilover springs, 98' goldies, Wrx Wheels

Exterior: 99' Front Bumper , Vis Carbon Fiber Hood, Morette style headlights

I autoX an RS as well. Great ST-class cars on the regional level. Be aware that the CF hood is not legal for ST class. I would suggest getting rid of it or hope that nobody notices (depending on region it may not matter).

Yeah, I've been thinking about trying to find someone to trade my hoods straight up for next season but Im not too worried how I am classed this season as its really late in the game. Next season I want to prep for ST and try to be competitive.

Well ran my first autocross in the RS over last two days at Midstate Airport (SCCA CPR region). It was a blast and I have to say that the RS is a huge improvement in power and handling over my previous autocross car (88' Civic). I was in STX and finished towards the back but being only a few seconds away from the winner and still being on winter tires I couldnt really complain.

Does the RS come with sway bars stock? It didn't look like there was much body roll in your auto-x pics.

Why are you running STX? Did you just paint the CF hood? I'd claim ST if I were you.

Yeah the RS comes with sway bars. There isnt much travel at all with the current suspension set up which is great when autocrossing but ride is rough on Pennsylvania roads lol. Im not sure why they put me in STX, I figured I should have been in ST because I only have light mods but next time im down there autocrossing ill change my class. As for the hood I just painted it for the time being (the hood was all cracked and faded) and when I can ill sell it and get a regular hood.

Well as for a minor update, ran another autocross had a blast but on the way home car got really hot... All the coolant went into the overflow and out the radiator. The previous owner had put in what looked to be stop leak or head gasket fix and it came unlodged and clogged the thermostat. I flushed it with some water and managed to get the car home fine, but cooling system needs completely flushed and it may be time to do the headgaskets. Also what do you guys think of painting the car doing the headgaskets selling it and buying an e36 BMW???
