Getting a unicorn tomorrow

My loan was just approved for a 2000 Subaru Impreza RS 5 speed...120,000 miles and has never been molested...new engine with less than 100,000 miles that was owned by an old couple so that was never molested either.

It was owned by a rich kid in New York that sold it for college. 20% tint all around, Blaupunkt stereo with included 6 disc cd changer, lock box for the stereo, probably other stuff I didnt take notice to yet.

I already have Eibach Sportline lowering springs for it, subs, strut bar, hella supertones, and im lookin at getting an sti piston shifter

Its silver and no idea where said rich kid lived...the car was at apple in New York...I guess its a real good dealership or something but my dealership wouldnt stop getting that message across lol

If it's silver, then it's not a Unicorn.

Unicorn = 1998 Impreza in Arcadia Green.

It's called "Unicorn" due to the extreme rarity of the color. If you find a 1998 2.5RS Coupe that is Arcadia Green with a manual transmission, it's a Unicorn among Unicorns, or something (I believe there are 5 of those in the states).

A 2000 Impreza in Silver is not rare, and therefore, not a unicorn. Just dispelling this...

Anyway, very nice. How are the syncros? Did they retain the 4.11 final drive for 2000 or did they switch over to the stupid 3.9 final drive by then? Not bad on the mileage, it's lower miles than my WRX. >_< Then again, I poured the miles on my WRX going to and from school...

I called it a unicorn because finding an impreza for sale is impossible around here if not everywhere...its the only silver one ive seen around...i saw my silver one, a red one, a black one, wrb and brp

I picked up my own unicorn about a month ago. 2002 Neon ACR in Stone White. Convenience package (side airbags, premium cloth, A/C, rear defrost, and a radio). Standard equipment includes 20 extra horsepower, close-ratio gearbox, inverted adjustable struts, and extra lightness. Maybe 20 ever made like it. It's totally unmolested (aside from upgraded shifter bushings) and 81K on the clock. And I have to say...it's freaking glorious. Have fun with your unicorn, Man.

it has 5% tint on the rear and back side windows, 20% on the front...i found 3 sony amps under the seats...one for tweeters in the doors, one for the rear speakers and one for a sub...blaupunkt daytoa beach c51 headunit with a blaupunkt idc ao9 5 disk cd changer....all professionally installed

odometer says 135k and the motor has 97k with a full rebuild by a professional subaru mechanic, not the dealership

in other words...rich people have their ups

Wow, that is an excellent fleet of 90s Subarus. Impreza Coupe, GT Sedan, Legacy Wagon. Now all you need is a silver Forester and you can have your own vintage Subaru showroom.

The impreza RS was my dream car (and still kinda is but i love my legacy) but I wanted a four door, and do you know how rare four door RS's are?? (it didn't help i would only buy a 99 or 2000 because I hate bugeyes) I still love the RS though, maybe I'll still get one someday...

looked in the engine bay today and my radiator says "performance radiator" and it has that on the radiator cap as well

RS sedans are practically a dime a dozen around here...the reason I didn't get an RS is because I wanted a coupe (the sedans look goofy to me) and they are 1) very hard to find and 2) way overpriced around here.

Sweet!! I want a 2 door rs bad!! I don't see too many around here. There are some though. Seems like there either really nice!! Or rotted really bad. Nohing in between.

Why is everyone scared of salvage titles? Really?! A car with a none salvage can be worse off then a car with one. My GT has been totaled once, almost twice and it's still a great car! My sister and brother in law have 2 with a salvage title (that rebuilt at my old work) and they are great cars!

Oh yeah, our cars here on the west coast are not rusty ether... Just thought I would rub that in a bit.... haha

i only have a small surface rust spot less than the size of a dime so take that and a tiny ding like it was stabbed with a pencil haha
im getting it fixed as soon as i get the cash
