Just got done rebuilding/reinstalling my ej25d, it started up just fine but after about 300 miles the rear crank seal that I installed seems to be leaking....Bummer right! I'll fix it but I need to know how to do it right! Where can i get the proper tool, or what other way can i do it... I used the back of an adjustable wrench to get it in, It must have gone in uneven or too deep or something... anyways, how do i do it right!?!

The rebuild went great otherwise...just a little dripping oil...

Thanks

There are proper tools for installing seals like that, but for you, a large block of wood and a hammer should work. Just make sure it goes in straight, if it is crooked it will leak. Also, if there is a spring on the inner edge of the seal, pack the back side of the seal with grease to hold it in. If that spring falls out (as sometimes happens when you beat on it with a hammer) the seal will lose tension and leak.
