Transmission final drive

Hi,
I have a 1991 Legacy and i'm looking to replace my transmission. My old gearbox has a code IX-TY752XG1AA. The gearbox that i want to put in is a 8C-TY752XGAAA. Does anyone now what is the difference between them? I know that the old one has a final drive 3.900 but i'm not sure what is the final drive of the other. I counted spur and pinion teeth and it seems to be 37 and 10 (the old one has 39 and 10). Does it mean that the final drive is 3.700? The gearbox is from a '96 2.2 AWD Legacy and as far as i know it only came with 3.900 final drive. Can someone help me out and decode those codes for me?

Also, for US models, 90-94 Legacys came with 4.11 final drive, regardless of manual or automatic transmisson.

Exceptions: FWD (only came in 3.7) and Turbo (3.9 for manual & auto) and non-US models.

My legacy is a non-US model (Europe). I've seen the decoder you posted before but it doesn't decode all of the symbols. I doesn't say what letters G and X stand for. Both transmissions are dual-range.
