the wheels on my BD look horrible. Some shine up okay but the rim still looks like crap. One of them is bad all around. It looks like the finish on it is coming off. Anyone have any suggestions for cleaning them the best I could?
BTW they are the 7 spoke wheels like these

I would recommend just stripping them and painting them your color of choice, or fresh clear.
I just picked up some 14" wheels, but the 5 spokes. The clear was peeling..
Still stripping mine. I've just been working on them for 15 minutes here and there.
taking my sweet time, still unsure what color I want them.

If the clear is coming off.. i would use aircraft aluminum stripper, or mar-hyde aircraft type stripper and strip the clear coat right off so you can get back down to the metal. Once you are at the bare metal.. you can degrease the metal and then re-apply a new layer of clear coat.
