Recently discovered my front passenger drive axle is broke around the boot so grease is all over,....so my question is where is the cheapest place to get new ones??? ill replace the driver side as well at the same time, I was jsut going to get them at NAPA but are all replacements the same? I just want what's best for my subaru (2002 L sedan)

i recommend napa. i bought a clutch kit from auto zone once and it was the wrong clutch plate and pilot barring. and when i put it in the clutch wouldnt dis engage and i had to take it apart and put it together like 4 times before i went to napa and got the right clutch and it was a higher grade clutch as well.. napas a little more expensive but they are worth it.

if you want to get an axle that is actually good, then i would get one from www.raxles.com (http://www.raxles.com), Marty is the man! (keep it mind it will be about 3x more expensive than getting a remain from a auto parts store)

but if you want to cheapout, it really doesn't matter where you get it from, all autoparts stores get them from the same or similar suppliers, and they are all varying levels of garbage.... but if you don't mind replacing axles a little more frequently, they can get the job done.

IMO if its a daily driver and u dont beat the fuck out of it, a napa one will be just fine. if u run ur car hard, might as well drop the money...

Hey he asked whats best, so i told him how i thought. most remans are not quality items. nothing like oem or what you can get from marty.

I just went through napa. 85$ a piece after the AAA discount lifetime warranty and they're new so ill put them both on tomorrow....I found them cheaper on an online website and checkedc out this marty guy but I needed them asap cuz I'm bout to take 2000mile round trip to south dakota then down to colorado and back out here to idaho towards the end of this week
