JDM Projectors - High on with Low on possible?

Just wanted to ask this question since i have only asked one person about it once. One of my biggest peeves with headlights that have separate hi and low bulbs is when the high beams turn on, the lows turn off, when you turn off your highs your lows turn back on. I was told that the jdm projectors do this as well. :smt013 Is that true or have any of you wired them so that the lows remain on when you turn on your high beams? I just think high beams should add light, not replace your low beam light output with a different light output.

This is one of my favorite things about my integra (does it stock), and one of the first things i corrected on my silverado (could buy a kit from painless wiring for that). I just want to do this when i actually get some projectors for my car. any help/input/discussion would be greatly appreciated since wires and electricity scare me (I'm a mechanical engineer for a reason). It was covered in the JDM Projector thread.

Basically you take the ground running to the lows and branch it off instead to just attain ground from the chassis of the car or the negative battery terminal, ect.

This will allow the lows to be on with the high's

I was curious about this as well... the thread wasnt terribly clear about this process.

Do you cut the wire and take the end that is connected to the headlight and ground it to the chassis?

Or do you cut the wire and take the end from the car and ground it?

+1 I would like this as well especially when I put in my HID's for the high beams

Thinkin about how the wiring diagram works out, it only makes sense that the ground coming FROM the headlight side would be the one grounded to the chassis.

After that, take the ground thats coming from the harness and just cap it off, I wouldn't leave an exposed lead just chilling. But yeah, besides a lack of DIY on it, its really straight forward.

Cut, splice on an eye/"O"/whatever you wanna call it connector if you wanna be clean about it
Ground headlight end to someplace on the body
Cap off harness end.

I don't have time now, but I'll look around as to what wire it was on both harnesses. I wanna guess yellow.
