First post, after lurking for a bit.
My first venture into the Subaru world, purchased at a junkyard for $800 bucks and drove it home. Needed a new clutch and rear control arms when I purchased it. Purchased with 362k miles, now has 372k.
1999 Legacy L wagon, 5spd.

A picture of the burgundy bullet up at Lake Superior Pro Rally 2009.
Made it 1300 miles round trip with a slipping clutch, 27.8 mpg the entire way.
