Window switch issue

Ok, so I'm going to the car wash , pull up, select my wash and pull into the wash thing. Only problem.... My window won't go up. After flying threw the wash soaking wet I pull the panel and notice that it sparks when I push the window up. Easy fix or no?

Easiest thing to do is just replace the entire switch from a junk yard. Was the unit wet after the car wash because that would be the reason for the sparks (arching) If not then it seems like you got a short in the switch itself. Taking them apart isn't that easy but it can be done. Are you good with a soldering iron? Or know someone who is?>

Luckily it did not get wet. I was able to get outta the wash before things got soaked. Its almost as if the switch got stuck. When I tried to roll it up it would not move, then the switch broke. So replace the main switch is my best bet. Do u know if it has to be from a 97 or will other years work as well?

From what I've swapped 95-99 is the same connector.

If your freaking out and need the window to roll up. Find the + / - on the Windows motor/regulator and give it + / - from your battery.

There should be 3 leads on the motor. Up/Down/Ground or Power.

Multimeters are you friend be sure to test the leads on the passenger door if your going to attempt this method. No one wants blown fuses.
