i wasn't sure where to put this, so i put it here.

i purchased a 20mm 1.5 thread adapter for my gauges, turns out it didnt fit. do any of you know which adapter will work with a 2000 legacy blitzen (JDM)? any help is greatly appreciated.

i would say the best thing to do would go to autobacs or upgarge.

i think i may have to do that....the mechanic said the sensors are too big and the exhaust won't allow them to fit.

theres a place where i buy most of my parts from and have them installed. the mechanic there is the one thats helping me figure out the problem.

i went to autobacs last night and the guy didnt seem like he wanted to help me out. i told him what my issue is, he just said i needed to buy a subaru specific adapter. i told him i had already done so, but the sensors were getting in the way and needed a much thicker adapter. he told me they didn't have any in the store, i told him i again i didnt need the subaru one just a thicker one. then he just said they didnt have it and gave me the "you dont know what youre talking about, stop bothering me" look.

hopefully i'll get this resolved soon...im tired of looking at my gauges just sitting there

explain how it doesn;t fit please.
i assume you're using a "sandwich plate" between the filter and oil pump?

You can buy some braided hose kits to remotely re-locate the sensors away from the heat of the exhaust

the other option is to use the oil gallery bungs as opposed to the sandwich plate
one is under the alternator
one is near the secondary turbo on the RHS of the motor (drivers side for JDM/ RHD)

just in case anyone else runs into this issue, you can go different ways depending on what you want to do.

you can get an oil filter relocator if youre just needing it for gauges.

i'm installing an oil cooler so i bought an oil cooler with the oil filter relocator. this way i can install my gauges and the oil cooler w/out running into the sandwich plate fitting issue.
