Hi guys,

I have a 1999 JDM Legacy BH5 with an EJ20tt under the hood. What can I swap to keeping the ECU?
Or is there an easier way to upgrade to the EJ25t?

Please help asap!

Replace the short block with an USDM EJ257. Swap over the crank sensor and such and you should be good to go.

This method should increase your displacement with forged internals and still have the same timing and sensors as your EJ20G/K heads.

PLEASE double check the crank sensor/any other sensor that connects to your short block. Check out NASIOC for more info.

He has a '98. So he doesn't have EJ20G/K. He has an EJ206 (or EJ208 if M/T).

Even still short blocks are interchangeable.
