1999 b4 engine swap, what size engines can go in?

hi im putting a new engine into my b4 i currently have an ej20tt. one of my mates rekons i should put in a 3.0 engine. would a 3.0r engine fit? or even a 2.5? i dont know much about these engines so sorry for the lack of info.

yes the 3.0 will fit. also the 2.5 out of and sti will fit. below some info.
