The other day I was just driving around with both front windows down. I pulled off the road and was going to park and go for a walk so I was going to roll my windows up. I heard a sound coming from the window switch that sounded like it was getting power like it wanted to roll up or down but nothing was happening. I tried to roll up the drivers side and it wouldn't work. Then the sound happened again and the window worked after that. So I waited and tested it a few times, everytime that sound would happen it would act like a toggle for letting the window go up. I haven't had any issues so far with this affecting the window go down, just up.

Faulty switch just replace it with a junker or get one from a dealer.
Sounds like its making contact when it shouldn't or in fancy words "arching" two contacts together.
Old electronics that have constant contact with the driver... its normal wear/tear
