What is this bracket for??

here is a picture of a bracket that i have no idea what it is for... anyone know??? it came off my 2000 impreza OBS ej2.2

It looks like a brace for something...can't remember if the power steering pump or the a/c compressor have any braces...

haha battlewagon if you win you can have the pleasure of making yourself a bowl of steaming fresh oatmeal :D and i have no idea where this bracket came from considering it came off of a car that i took all the accesories and such out of the engine bay to pull the heads. so... yea idk lol
